divinities of Hinduism. His name in the Vedas is Rudra. Shankar ji is called
the god of destruction. Shankar ji is notorious for both gentle shape and rough
form. considered from other gods. Shiva is the sovereign of the origin,
condition and destruction of creation. Although Shiva has been considered to
mean weal, he has always subordinated both meter and cataclysm to him. Ravana,
Shani, Kashyap Rishietc. have come his addicts. Shiva sees everyone inversely,
so he's called Mahadev. According to the Puranas, Bholenath is tone- nominated
but the mysterious stories associated with Bholenath are current. Let us tell
you about some similar secrets related to Lord Shiva that hardly people know.
of Lord Shiva Lord Shiva is swayambhu, but the
puranas detail his origin. According to Vishnu Purana, where Lord Vishnu was
born from brahmaji's nexus, it's mentioned that Shiva was born from the glory
of Vishnu's forepart. According to Vishnu Purana, Shiva- Shambhu are always in
Yogamudra due to being born from the sharpness of the forepart.
Are
Shiva and Shankar the same?
In some Puranas, Lord Shankar is called Shiva
because he's like the formless Shiva. The formless Shiva is worshipped as
Shivalinga. Shankar is always shown as a yogi. In numerous places, Shankar has
been painted planning on Shivling. thus, Shiva and Shankar are two different
realities. It's believed that Mahesh( Nandi) and Mahakal are the doorkeepers of
Lord Shankar and are members of the panchayat of Rudradevta Shankar. According
to the
Puranas, the demon named Jalandhar began from
the glory of Lord Shankar. Jalandhar is thus considered a part of Lord Shiva.
According to other beliefs, the asura named Bhuma began from the drop of sweat
of Lord Bholenath. piecemeal from this, it's described in some tradition that
Andhak and Khuja were also sons of Lord Shankar, but there's no citation of
these two anywhere in the Holy Writ. According to the
Puranas, the foremost votaries of Lord Shiva
are considered to be Saptrishi. It's believed that the Saptrishis propagated the
knowledge of Lord Shiva on earth, due to which different persuasions and
societies began. It's believed that Lord Shiva started the tradition of Guru
Shishya. Shiva's votaries included Brihaspati, Vishalaksha, Shukra,
Sahasraksha, Mahendra, Prachetas Manu, Bharadwaj. It's believed that Lord Shiva
had two women
, the first was Goddess Sati and the alternate
mama Parvati. But if Hindu tradition is to be believed, Lord Neelkantheshwar
hadn't one or two but four marriages. He'd all these marriages with Adishakti.
Lord Shiva first wedded Mata Sati, who was the son of Prajapati Daksha. He
offered his life as mama Sati's father couldn't bear the personality of Lord
Shiva. After this, Adishakti, born as Parvati, the son of Himalaya, wedded Lord
Shiva for the alternate time. In our Holy Writ, Goddess Uma, the third woman
of Lord Shiva, has been told. Goddess Uma is
also called the goddess of the land. Mother Mahakali, the fourth woman
of Lord Shiva, has been told. He killed
terrible demons on this earth and defended the three worlds.
There
are numerous beliefs behind
lord Shiva's bhasma. According to religious
belief, Lord Shiva is considered to be the lord of death. For this reason, the
name' Shiva' was made from' Body'. According to Mahadev, the body is mortal and
it has to be reduced to ashes like ashes one day. In honor of this stage of
life, Shiva applies bhasma on his body. According to another legend, when
Goddess Sati got angry and handed herself over to the fire, Lord Shankar took
her body and floated far and wide from earth to sky. This condition of his wasn't
seen from Vishnu ji and he touched the body of Mother Sati and turned it into
bhasma. Seeing the ashes in his hands, Shiva came more worried and in memory of
Sati, he put that ash on his body. Lord Shiva was present
in every period Lord Shiva is called
Adipurush. And for this reason, it's believed that Bholenath is the only god
who has given darshan to his addicts in every period. He was present at the
time of samudra manthan at Satug. In Tretayuga, Lord Rama also worshiped his
Shivalinga form in Rameswaram. During the night stay, Ram had a vision of
Shivalinga in a dream. In Dwaparyug, Lord Shiva himself reached Gokul to see
the child form of Krishna. And in Kalyug, it's mentioned that Lord Shankar had
appeared to him after being pleased with the penance of King Vikramaditya.
